Yeah definitely Trigger, Boycie and I'll add Denzil and Mike in OFAH!
Back as a kid I used to love Huggy Bear and Captain Dobey in Starsky and Hutch. Always found it funny that S&H were struggling to break a case so 40 minutes in a quick meeting with Huggy would usually point them in the direction of the guilty!!

I used to listen to the radio version of that when I was younger, along with stuff like the Shadow from the 40s, Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, Bulldog Drummond and The Lives of Harry Lime.
Had a station that would play OTR every night at 10.

Scrubs was s great show for letting the minor characters have the spotlight from time to time (and Bill Lawrence allowed ad-libs). Todd, Doug, Ted, Hooch, Snoop Dog Intern, Colonel Doctor, Doctor Mickhead...

Game of Thrones had a few side characters who'd have had interesting stories.
The Chinese-looking fire worshipper woman
The Nights Watch geezer who mutinies and tells all them stories about killing knights etc.
The bloke played by Finchy from The Office
etc. etc.
